Danny Raposo and Roy C. Mayo, proudly announce their acquisition of MMP Limited.

It is with the utmost appreciation that we accept the duty of ownership passed to us by Ross A. Clarke, having been President of MMP Limited for the last 30 years.  Over the years we have worked closely with Mr. Clarke and we thank him for his constant mentorship and trust.

MMP Limited has a long standing and rich history dating back to the late 1800s.  From its early association with J.W. Tyrrell to later being established as a survey firm by the MacKay’s in the early 1900s, this legacy is one we consider ourselves honoured to be given the opportunity to preserve.

We stay focused on our professional involvement within the community and providing our clients with the continued support and quality of service they deserve.

On October 30, 2104 a MacKay MacKay & Peters survey team was audited for a LPS “Loss Prevention Observation’ while on a job site. We were found to be 100% complaint.   Congratulations to our staff and survey team!

The TDSB Solar Schools Project is an exciting initiative that will see solar panels installed on the roofs of 311 TDSB schools starting in the spring of 2014. MacKay Mackay & Peters was pleased to be selected to undertake the roof surveys for this project as it fits well with our green principles.

Roy is licensed as an Ontario Land Surveyor, OLS, (Cadastral). He is an active member of  the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors, and he is an Ontario Land Information Professional (OLIP).  Roy has personally supervised the completion of over 2,500 cadastral surveys, including residential/commercial subdivisions, 1^st Application to Land Titles Reference Plans, Surveyor’s Real Property Reports, topographic surveys, lease area certificates and custom housing layout.

After a solid bounce back from the last recession, Canada’s economy has had two years of economic growth below 2%. Over the next two years, stronger growth globally, and most importantly in the U.S., should help Canada’s economy accelerate to a still-modest to 2.3% in 2014 and 2.4% in 2015… TD Economics

Natural Resources Canada has created a new set of guidelines for Real Time Kinematic (RTK)/Real Time Network (RTN) Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) surveying. Here’s a link to the new survey guidelines

Mackay Mackay And Peters have recently implemented the use of GLONASS (Global Navigation Satellite System) to work in tandem with our current Global Positioning System network, providing greatly improved coverage in urban areas and a 20% faster fix time due an extra twenty four satellites now being available.

GLONASS is a Russian satellite-based navigation system which is the only alternative navigational system to Global Positioning System (GPS) in operation, that provides comparable precision and global coverage.

The October 2013 issue of AOLS In Sight featured the launch of their website.  The new website comprises both public and members-only portals.
